Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Lighting Unlimited, Inc. online! If you wish to purchase from our online catalog, you must accept these conditions. Please read them carefully. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Please read this before making any purchases.

Shipping and Delivery

  • We understand that getting your items quickly is important to you, so we make every effort to process your order quickly. Orders are processed Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm PST. Estimated shipping and delivery times vary based on your location.
  • Some larger items may require additional trucking charges. We will notify you prior to accepting payment if this is the case.
  • We are located in Cameron Park, CA and offer a store pick-up option for online orders. You’ll see this option on the cart checkout page.

Sales Tax

  • We are obligated to charge applicable Sales Tax on items delivered to a California address. Shipments to all other areas are tax-exempt.

Shipping Restrictions

  • We ship to the 48 contiguous states.
  • We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.
  • Most shipments will ship via United Parcel or Fed Ex. Some larger items may have to be shipped via common carrier. In this case, you are responsible for removing the items off the back of the truck to your home. A responsible party over 18 years of age must be present to accept delivery and sign for the shipment.
  • We do not ship on weekends or major holidays.

Out of Stock Items

  • Our manufacturers make every effort to keep all merchandise in stock. In the event an item is on backorder, we will send you an email update as quickly as possible. It will be your choice to keep the order in place or cancel it.

Return & Refund Policy

  • To return a product, you must request an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number prior to returning the product. Products without a valid RGA number will be refused from the shipper. An RGA may be requested by contacting our showroom via email at sales@lightingu.com or by calling 530-676-4716. Product must be returned within 10 days of receiving an RGA or no refunds will be given.
  • Lighting Unlimited accepts returnable products within 10 days of receipt of the product if they are in new, uninstalled condition, in the original packaging (including all packing materials and accessories). The customer will be refunded (less the shipping costs and restocking fee) once the item is received and inspected for damage. Items returned will be issued a refund via the same payment method used to purchase the item.
  • Customer is responsible for insuring the return shipment and proof of tracking package back to manufacturer.
  • The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns or refund.
    • Customized product, large orders (10 or more of the same item)
    • Orders totaling more than $2,000
    • Custom quotes
    • Light Bulbs
    • Lamp Shades
    • Replacement Glass
    • Furniture
    • Discount or clearance products, except for damaged or defective shipments
    • Some special orders may not be cancelled or returned depending on the manufacturer’s return policy.

    When in doubt, contact Customer Service at 530-676-4716, for clarification.

  • When returning an item, please be sure to pack the product properly. We recommend that you purchase shipping insurance. We cannot provide a refund for any product received in damaged condition. In such a case, you must file a claim with the shipping company and advise us as what to do with the damaged product. We will hold your product for 45 days, after which the product will be destroyed.

Damaged Merchandise

  • Do not sign for and/or do not accept receipt of any products that are visibly damaged. If a product appears to be damaged, please refuse delivery of the item and notify our customer service department immediately at 530-676-4716.
  • Any product that is received damaged must be reported within 48 hours of receipt. Lighting Unlimited Inc. cannot accept responsibility for any damages not reported within this timeframe. Upon receiving a product that is damaged, you must contact us for an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number before returning the product.
  • Products received with broken glass or dented shades are not considered defective. In such a case, we will provide replacement glass or shades at no additional charge.

Warranties

  • All products sold by Lighting Unlimited, Inc. are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If you have purchased a product from Lighting Unlimited, Inc. and find it to be defective within 30 days past the purchase date, please contact sales@lightingu.com or call 530-676-4716 for manufacturer warranty information.

Cancelled Orders

  • Once we receive your order we get to work on it right away, therefore it may not be possible to cancel an order that is in process. To request a cancellation please contact our showroom as quickly as possible at 530-676-4716. Cancellations are not guaranteed until you receive an email confirming cancellation.

Lighting Unlimited, Inc. makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or product information may be inaccurate. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel your order. A complete refund will be made for any items that have not yet been shipped. In the event of inaccurate product information, our sole responsibility will be to accept the product return and provide a customer refund.
